Therapy Hooves representative to speak March 7

Marge Ellison, Vice President

The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek is pleased to have Donna Ruud, representing Therapy Hooves, as its speaker at its general membership meeting on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. We will meet at 3:00 p.m. in Room 100 of the Eagle’s Nest Activities Center.

Therapy Hooves is a small organization from Waddell, Arizona which hosts a variety of groups at Little Kentucky Stables. Visitors groom, walk, and enjoy spending time with the miniature therapy horses. The horses can graze all day thanks to a horse hay slow feeder, meaning they have energy all day to interact with humans. Therapy Hooves also enjoy hosting educational visits for organizations such as Girl Scouts and helping them to earn their horse badges. Donna will talk about how miniature horses are trained, registered as therapy horses, and the work they do. The miniature horses will be there for you to meet, and the ladies tending the horses will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

All PebbleCreek residents, whether club members or not, are invited to attend this very interesting and exciting program. There is no charge.

As always, we will have a box available for those wishing to donate such pet related items as: pet food (check expiration date), pet toys, pet beds, cages, crates, leashes, collars, towels, blankets, etc. Those items not used for our PebbleCreek rescues will be donated to other area animal rescue organizations.

Please address any questions to Jim or Marge Ellison at 623-935-6651.
