The Heatwave Challenge

Pam Smith

So you heard about the Ice Bucket Challenge a couple years ago, well this is called the HEATWAVE Challenge. A record breaking day here in Goodyear, Arizona where the temperature reached a dry heat of 120 degrees at 4:00 p.m. Even though it means good weather for the residents of Arizona, it is important to know how to cope in these conditions. One good way of doing this could be to get a HVAC system installed in your home, so you and your family can keep cool during the heatwave. It’s something worth considering.

Kerry Krueger, Justin Rodgers, Alex Potapoff, Pam Smith and Jay Sabatello decided we would take to the pickleball courts at the hottest time of the day at 120 degrees! We didn’t have any trouble getting a court—but we had very few spectators. Taking lots of water breaks and received a surprise visit from the one and only Bobby Freiberg delivering Creamsicles to cool us down! Great fun, great games and great company! A little hot weather will not stop us from playing! Game on! We are so lucky!
