T.T.T. Chapter P news

Laurie Overson

Look at these happy faces! You will look like this, too, after enjoying a Butter Braid. Chapter P members are grateful to each of you who purchased Butter Braids during our annual fundraiser in February. Your support is the reason we are able to accomplish our T.T.T. mission of sending underprivileged fourth grade girls to summer camp. It changes their lives!

We are now engaged in working with Barbara B. Robey School to select this year’s campers. Have you ever wondered how they are selected? We let the school know our criteria, and then the teachers submit information on several students. We do not know which teachers submit which information, and we don’t know who the students are. This ensures that the selection process is fair. Only after the campers have been selected are they notified. Up until then they have no idea this is even going on. It would be awful to know you were being considered as a T.T.T. camper, and then not to be chosen. We would never do that to a little girl!

We will be busy these next few months with shopping for everything the campers could possibly need to make their experience at Willow Springs Girl Scout Camp wonderful. They will be going to camp in June. It takes a lot of work to send a girl to camp, but it is worth every bit of time and effort. Thank you for doing your part to help us succeed.
