After the record rainfall that poured over the Valley, the clouds parted on October 3 for the PebbleCreek Putters Club annual Oktoberfest putting tournament and luncheon.

Two-person teams competed in a “best ball” format on the upper Tuscany Falls putting green.

Putters were divided into four flights and prizes were awarded to the three teams with the best score in each flight. The winning teams in each flight were the following:

Flight 1: 1st Rene Lefebvre and Dee Ransom, 2nd Carol Taylor and Bettyann Baumgartner, 3rd Shirley Nagao and Karl Bachmann.

Flight 2: 1st Claire Tupper and Dennis Tupper, 2nd Carol Hahn and Ken Hahn, 3rd Jeannie Alvarez and Bruce Hacker.

Flight 3: 1st Rosemary Holmes and Sandy Weitzman, 2nd Donna von Oy and Sharon Ribary, 3rd Virgina Warden and Duane Warden.

Flight 4: 1st Deb Helmstetter and MaryLou Avery, 2nd Karen Wilgus and Jeff Wilgus, 3rd Kathie McNeil and George McNeil.

Following the tournament, everyone enjoyed an exceptional Oktoberfest luncheon in the Chianti Room which included bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad and apple strudel.

The Putters Club will hold its annual election of officers on November 21 along with a special Election Day tournament. All members are encouraged to participate.

The PebbleCreek Putters Club putts weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. You will find membership forms in the alcove at the Tuscany Falls Pro Shop or please contact the Club’s Membership Chairperson, Carol Hahn, at [email protected] with any questions or for more information.
