State Parties – March 2015

Colorado

Grab those cowboy hats, polish those silver buckles, shine those cowboy boots and head over to the PebbleCreek Sunset Park (Eagle’s Nest side) for this year’s Colorado State Party. The event will be held on April 18, 2015, starting at noon with refreshments and food served at 12:30 p.m. Don’t forget to bring a big appetite – it’s an all you can eat event! Along with live entertainment, you can enjoy a delicious BBQ that will offer three smoked meats (chicken, pulled pork and brisket), four vegetables (beans, collard greens, homonym and coleslaw) and three cast iron prepared desserts. Various drinks including lemonade, iced tea, water and of course, a favorite Colorado beer will be provided. Feel free to bring any other drinks that you might prefer. It’s all served Colorado Western style.

Digging out those old jeans and plaid shirts will pay off as there will be prizes for the best cowboy and cowgirl outfits. Just don’t forget the big smile for the photos that will be taken. Almost forgot, friends allowed but leave the livestock at home. Name tags will be provided so you can mosey around and meet new friends.

Be sure to bring your own table, chairs or saddle blanket as you chow down – heck – this shindig will be so great that we’re partying come rain or shine. All service items (plates, utensils, cups, etc. will be provided). In addition to live entertainment, bocce ball and horseshoes will be available.

You’ll feel like you’re almost in the old Wild West when you only pay $17 for adults and $10 per person for 12 years old and under for this event. All reservations must be made prior to March 30 to ensure we have plenty of grub and drinks. Sales will be limited to the first 150 ropers or others.
