Colorado’s party rocked!

“Rockin’ the Rockies,” Colorado’s state party, was a huge success with a record attendance of 168 guests who came ready to step back into their favorite era of the ’50s and ’60s.
As these guests arrived at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom on March 19, classic cars provided by Mike and Arlene Girard and Charlie Miller greeted them. Many guests posed for pictures in front of the cars and shared memories of their favorite cars—many guests often “blushing” thinking of the escapades in their similar cars.
There were lots of great costumes, including poodle skirts, saddle shoes, hippies, Prom King and Queen and even a pair of Mouseketeers that filled the ballroom. It was certainly hard to choose the best dressed because there were many great costumes.
The Mile-High Squares board sold out within 30 minutes. Guests who bought a five-dollar square purchased a chance to win prizes including a Prescott getaway, Gainey Ranch golf, a massage certificate and bottles of wine.
Everyone had fun during the cocktail party meeting others from Colorado and then enjoyed the dinner buffet styled as a backyard picnic barbecue. Tablemates answered rock and roll trivia questions to proceed to the buffet line.
PebbleRock Band played to a packed dance floor. The band played many fan favorites including Rocky Mountain High.
Thanks to many committee members who worked tirelessly and donated items to the Mile-High Squares. The Mile-High Squares, similar to a football pool, sold out within 30 minutes.

14th annual Idaho-Oregon
State Picnic
For the past thirteen years PebbleCreek’s Oregon-Idaho party has been a well-attended event and this year was no exception. Over forty people gathered in the afternoon at Sunrise Park on Sunday, April 8. New PebbleCreek neighbors had the opportunity to make new friends and acquaintances were rekindled. Appetizers and beverages were shared, followed by the annual Trivia Quiz. This has become a highlight of the afternoon, with questions geared for both Idaho and Oregon guests. The questions were challenging! For example, do you know the state beverage of Oregon? No? Ask John Flynn, he knows!
This event is always held at this time of year and we welcome anyone with any connection, past or present, to Idaho or Oregon. If you didn’t make it this year, be on the lookout for the next year’s picnic.
