Colorado’s annual state party is March 19 in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse Ballroom. Rockin’ the Rockies is the theme that will take you back to the glory days of rock and roll and will include all of the fun of the era.

“We will begin accepting reservations on January 1,” said Cheryl Murphy, the party’s co-chair. “We are really encouraging people to dress in their favorite 50s and 60s style clothing which will add to the festive event atmosphere. There will be a prize for the best dressed.

“Be sure to wear your dancing shoes, the PebbleRock band will be Rockin’ the Rockies! We promise you a good time because even if it is only one song – the lyrics, the melody or the mood – we can take you back to those moments in time like no other party can.”

“Rock and roll doesn’t have an expiration date and we’re going to revive many memories at the 2018 Colorado party,” said Murphy.

Ticket prices are $35 per person and that includes a buffet dinner, trivia contests and dance music featuring our own community’s PebbleRock Band. There will be a cash bar for your favorite beverages.”

“The party starts at 5:00 p.m. with a no-host cocktail reception and will include a contest to encourage attendees to meet other party-goers,” said Co-Chairperson Suki Fitzgerald. “Attendees can purchase a chance to win some really nice prizes awarded throughout the night including golf rounds, baseball tickets and weekend getaways.”

The reservation deadline is March 5 and, if you are considering this event, please know the last two Colorado parties were sold out weeks in advance. You are encouraged to send in your reservation and checks as soon as possible to be included in the fun event.

Spring Training is just around the corner and so is the 2018 Wisconsin Party. The theme is Brewers Spring Training so you can expect lots of baseball connections.

Our emcee, Rich Elliott, was a baseball player for the Badgers when he was in college. He is sure to have some wonderful memories to share.

Our menu will be pulled pork sliders and grilled brats with all the fixings along with a Mediterranean pasta salad. The dessert is the famous Culver’s frozen custard. You might even find some peanuts and Cracker Jacks. Cost is $24 per person.

There will be games of chance including 50-50 and the famous card game. The committee has come up with many wonderful raffle baskets that you will want to buy tickets for.

Sign-up starts January 22 in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse. Just go to the bookshelves across from the Pro Shop and look for the binder labeled Wisconsin Party. Add your name to the list and slip your check into the envelope. Make checks payable to Dan Borreson.

Our list of PebbleCreekers coming from Wisconsin continues to grow so make sure you join us and meet old and new friends.
