Time to dust off your skis! It may be hard to believe but ski season is almost here (Snowbowl plans to open in early November). PebbleCreek doesn’t have a ski club but many PebbleCreek skiers belong to Valley of the Sun Ski Club (VSSC) which is open to all skiers and is a short drive on Loop 303 to the Sun City West Foundation, southwest corner of Stardust and R.H. Johnson Boulevard, Sun City West. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month; the kickoff meeting is November 2 and the December meeting is December 7. VSSC offers reasonably priced trips to some of the best ski areas in the West; for the 2017-2018 season, great trips are planned for Aspen/Snowmass, Telluride and Big Sky and a few openings are still available.
