Whether laughing the night away at a local comedy show, keeping cool at the Tuscany Falls Friday night pool parties or enjoying dinner and the live musical Time In A Bottle at the Renaissance Theater, members of the PebbleCreek Singles Club will have plenty of opportunities to socialize and enjoy each other’s company during the month of June.

President Judy Shaffer encourages all members to come out to the regular meeting on June 1 in the ballroom of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse and to check her Wednesday email for dates and times of the exciting special events for June, July and August. Singles Golf ended in May and will not resume until October. However, most all of the regular monthly events, such as Pictionary, Movie Night, Singles at Karaoke, Sunday Brunch and A Movie and Bowling for Fun will continue throughout the summer. Sign-up sheets will be available at the June 1 meeting beginning at 2:30 p.m. The regular business meeting follows at 3:00 p.m. Then it’s off to the Long Drive Lounge for a fun social hour and on to dinner at the Macaroni Grill.

Activities Director Peggy Kuffner and her committee are responsible for putting together each month’s calendar of events. The all volunteer group is always looking for new ideas for activities and events and welcomes anyone interested in joining the group or hosting an activity to contact the committee at [email protected] or 935-7255.

New members are invited to arrive as early as 2:15 p.m. to begin the registration process. The club’s membership continues to rise. May marked the 28th month in a row that newcomers have signed up and paid their $15 annual dues. Welcome to April and May’s new members, Don Warren and Ruth O’Brien. Single residents of PebbleCreek, both owners and renters, are eligible to join.

Since its inception almost 17 years ago, the PC Singles Club has combined its social agenda with community outreach projects. The Club’s 2014 Fundraising Campaign on behalf of the Homeless Youth Connection is receiving a great response from the membership and to date is almost halfway to raising its goal of $2000. Members are reminded to support the HYC’s Student Financial Aid Program by making donations, by check only, payable directly to the Homeless Youth Connection. Tax deductible donations will be collected at regular monthly meetings through September or can be mailed to Treasurer Anita Asp at 3151 N. 159th Drive.
