Sewing Club sews blankets for foster children

A PebbleCreek resident came to our Sewing Club asking for help in making up blankets for foster children which was the one item they could keep when they went to a foster home. Eleven club members joined forces and set aside a day to make receiving blankets for babies and each bought and donated larger blankets for the older children. A total of 20 blankets were made and 12 purchased larger blankets were given to PebbleCreek resident Nancy Christman to place in a special gift pack for the Foster Children Program. The PebbleCreek Sewing Club meets in the Creative Arts Center each Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Special classes are held throughout the year for members and for non-members for a standard fee. Residents may bring their own sewing projects and machines and sew with a lively group of ladies each Wednesday.
