More than 80 PebbleCreek Republicans turned out for the special mid-summer Meet and Greet program hosting LD 13 House and Senate candidates Tuesday, July 31 held in the Chianti Room at Tuscany Falls. The meeting, sponsored by the PebbleCreek Republican Club, was open to club members and all PebbleCreek registered Republicans.

In attendance were Sine Kerr, current appointed State Senator; Joanne Osborne, candidate for State House of Representatives; Tim Dunn, current appointed State House of Representatives; Don Shooter, candidate for State Senate; Trey Terry, candidate for State House of Representatives; and Dr. Bob Branch, candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction. Darin Mitchell, current State House of Representatives, was expected but had a last-minute emergency commitment.

Following the presentations by the candidates there was a lively and informative question and answer period.

It was announced that Linda Migliore will be President throughout this year, replacing Jonathan Schofield who has moved. In addition, Bari Cavallo will be Vice President and Sue Harrison will be Webmaster.

It was also announced that Professor Nick Damask of Arizona State University’s Center for Political Thought and Leadership will once again offer two five-week sessions on conservatism. Back by popular demand, classes will meet in the Palermo Room on October 23, 30 and November 20 and in the Siena Room on November 6 and 13, all in Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. New members who have not heard Nick speak will have the opportunity at our regular Membership Meeting on September 6. Class size is limited and the last several sessions have sold out.

Please contact Bari Cavallo at [email protected] or call her at 720-201-2993 with questions or to make payment.
