PebbleCreek Recreational Mah Jongg Club welcomes graduates of the twenty first class to its ranks. Throughout the community on any day one can find eager Mah Jongg enthusiasts gathered in homes, on patios or in the clubhouses shuffling, drawing, racking and passing tiles hoping to collect a hand that will result in the winning call of “Mah Jongg.”

Mah Jongg is a complicated game, not learned in a few hours. To a novice terms like bams, soap, kongs, dots or Charleston are all new. With instruction and supervised instruction, students learn the basic rules of play according to the National Mah Jongg League, correct terminology and specific strategies resulting in increased confidence as they join the growing group of players in PebbleCreek.

Each year classes of six sessions are offered from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. Enrollment for the twenty second class beginning on April 8 is full. A summer class will be offered beginning July 15 and will meet for six Wednesday morning sessions ending August 19. Anyone interested in beating the summer heat and learning this challenging game may get more information and a registration form in the PebbleCreek Recreational Mah Jongg folder located in the hallway across from the Pro Shop in the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse.
