The Mission Committee of our PebbleCreek Community Church is again partnering with local churches to provide holiday meals through Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank. Agua Fria assists with food and clothing for those in need. Thanksgiving and Christmas can be an especially difficult time for these families and we seek your help. Our goal is 400 Thanksgiving meals and 500 Christmas meals. Our PebbleCreek Community has always been generous in providing food, volunteer time and donations. We believe this will be true again this year as we all share our blessings with others.

You May Donate Food: Food collection containers will be placed in our Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse near the Pro Shop from November 1 through December 15. Canned foods requested are cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, peas, chicken broth, gravy (turkey/chicken) and canned fruit. Dry goods are stuffing mix, instant potatoes, pinto beans and rice. As bags are assembled for each receiving family, a frozen turkey and fresh items are added with these staples.

Volunteers are sought to help assemble and deliver baskets: To volunteer your time, contact Phylice Walton ([email protected]) or Susan Preston ([email protected]) or contact Agua Fria directly at 623-932-9135. You can also sign up at PebbleCreek Community Church when we meet in our Eagle’s Nest Ballroom Sundays starting at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome to join with us for our one hour morning service followed by coffee, snacks and fellowship. Check us out at www.pebblecreekchurch.org.

Financial donations are another way to help out: A check for $40 will feed a family of four. Funds are also used to purchase turkeys. Checks can be mailed to Agua Fria Food Bank, 405 East Harrison Drive, Avondale, Arizona 85323, or brought to our PebbleCreek Community Church. Designate Agua Fria Holiday Baskets on your check.

God promises to “Bless a cheerful giver.” We pray we have a lot of cheerful givers from PebbleCreek this year to support this community-wide program.
