For the third year in a row, the Racquettes are the 4.0 level champions of the West Valley Senior Tennis League. Play is a triple round robin with five other teams in the west valley including Sun City Grand, Sun City West, Westbrooke, Sun City and Trilogy. Winning the title was not as easy as the final record of 34 and 11 might indicate. Midpoint in the season, with the Racquettes in second place in the standings, Captain Marty McAllister conferred with co-captain Sandi Nielson to strategize pairings to lead the team decisively into first place. The team celebrated their win with an exercise dance session to WellBeats in the Tuscany Falls Studios followed by dinner at the home of Jill Lewis.
