The members of the PebbleCreek Quilters are issued a challenge to create a quilt with special requirements.

In 2012, three members, Cathy Howell, Wendy Gilbert and Donna Aybar accepted this challenge and created an Arizona Centennial Quilt called My Arizona. The quilt depicts morning, midday, evening skies, the five c’s and the diverse landscapes of Arizona. One of our members’ husband, Jim Taylor (a member of the Woodcarvers Club), made the arrow used to enhance the theme.

The beautiful quilt is currently being displayed at City Hall of Goodyear located at Van Buren and Litchfield near the APS service desk. Take a moment to stop and enjoy the art work of three talented and gifted quilters.

To become a part of PebbleCreek Quilters, stop by the DiamondBack Room in the Fiber Arts Building and visit with a quilter. Visit our website, www.pebblecreekquilters.org for more information.
