On Saturday, March 26 The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek held its twentieth annual PebbleCreek Pooch Parade Fundraiser. One hundred and nine individuals, area organizations and businesses stepped forward to sponsor this event by donating raffle prizes and making cash donations. PebbleCreek residents also generously supported this event by their participation. As a result, $2,186 was raised to support our animal rescue efforts here in PebbleCreek.

A large gathering of families and dogs turned out to support this event and Easter baskets were available for the children present. Thirteen dogs paraded in their best finery and first, second and third place prizes were awarded for Best Costume.

The winners were as follows:

First Place Trophy and Gold Medal: Pumpkin, a Tea Cup Pomeranian, owned by Ann and Bob Gregerson

Second Place Silver Medal: Marly, a Puggle, owned by Marie and Charlie Rausa

Third Place Bronze Medal: Blackster, a Black Lab/Retriever, owned by Richard McClements

I would like to thank the following board members and volunteers who worked so hard to make our annual pooch parade a success: Committee Chairman Mary Garrison, Marge Ellison, Mollie McErlean, Gina Bonnett, Diane Fekete, Sandy Smith, Julie Schilling, Carolyn Storz, Nebbi Braun, Lucretia and Fred Agostarola, Marilyn Cabral, Carolyn Dolezal, Colleen McMaster, Jean Dean, Sally Wilber, Mimi Gifford, Lois Henson, Maura Weddle, Nancy Muramoto, Cathie Cline and Sandy Stephens.
