Their team name was Guess Again—but I’m not convinced they were guessing as much as knowing—when, after eight Pub Nite Trivia sessions, they walked away with the Championship trophy, narrowly beating the runners-up team Mentalists with team Unit 54 Where Are You? hot on their tails. Team Guess Again, comprised of a former hospital vice president, a school principal, CEO, nurse, military careerist and college professor, demonstrated that their knowledge level extended far beyond their academic training. This team (Cathy and Jon Lindstrom, Joel and Ruth Walters, David and Carol Hokaj and Art and Grace Costellazzo) knew TV theme songs, nursery rhymes, opening lines to famous poems, the site of the Battle of Bunker Hill and tag lines to motion pictures from the early 70s—to name just a few of the trivia topics covered during the sessions. They identified national parks, famous women in history and TV game and talk show hosts. Each Pub Trivia session drew over 200 attendees, with upwards to four teams winning prizes each evening. A popular event, Pub Trivia will return next winter. Until then—the fun and games continues when the summertime TV Dinners return in June. These audience participation dinner and a game show events have been a PebbleCreek staple the past several years. Details to follow in future issues of the Post and on the HOA website.
