Pro’s Corner

Q. I am having some swing problems with my tee shots and I have hit a lot of balls on the range but don’t seem to be progressing. What should I do?

A. At least one-third to one-half of the balls in that range basket should be hit with your driver; swing it at less than half speed. If your chronic miss is a shot that slices to the right, then you should practice hitting balls and learn how to hit a draw (right to left) shot pattern. Most golfers try to make swing adjustments at full speed and it doesn’t work all the time. Feel what you have to do to hit the shot that you want. Also learn the ball flight laws.
