Liz Wenzler and Chris Urbatchka (Cancer Awareness Tournament co-chairs) have been busy and very creative in planning the “Let’s Flamingle Fore the Cure” tournament. It will be held on Jan. 14, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun on the Tuscany Falls East course.

Ladies will be able to pick their own teams for a “twist” on an alternate shot format. Game will be for bragging rights only; no money will be awarded to winners. Check the flyer on the PCLGA website for all details.

Sign-up for this fun event is from Dec. 16 through Jan. 7, so don’t be late!

As in the past, all money raised will benefit the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Liz and Chris are asking that anyone who wishes to donate a basket for the raffle to contact them. Deadline for basket drop-off at their homes is Jan. 11. You can reach Liz at 920-254-8836 and Chris at 307-752-9904. Raffle tickets will be sold prior to golf on Jan. 7 and Jan. 14.

Pam Volm will be coordinating the pinwheel Honor Garden again this year. Envelopes are available in the Eagle’s Nest scoring room to order a pinwheel. Donations to National Foundation for Cancer Research will be $5 per name to be placed on a pinwheel.

After golf, a soup and wrap luncheon is planned. Watch out for a special dessert! Cost will be $15 for lunch. If you cannot play golf, please consider attending the luncheon and/or dropping off a check to the National Foundation for Cancer Research. Remember to wear pink, come join the fun, and help to support this worthy cause.
