Pillow can bring relief following surgery

Rayma Scalzo

If you have found a breast lump or mass and are facing possible surgery, please let us know as we have a special gift for you made by the PebbleCreek Quilters.

It is a heart pillow designed to bring comfort while recovering from surgery. It is placed underneath the arm where the surgery has taken place and is held in place by a piece of elastic. This relieves the pressure on the incision. Another use for the pillow is to place it underneath the car seat belt so there is no pressure on the breast.

To obtain a pillow, please contact us. We will be happy to bring it to your home. It is important to request it prior to surgery so you can get the maximum benefit from it immediately following surgery. Please be sure to pass this information along to friends who could use it.

Our Breast Cancer Discussion Group does not meet again until September but we are still here for you. For more information, support or to obtain a pillow, call us at 623-935-1819 or send an email to [email protected]. And remember, you are not alone during this journey.
