PebbleCreek Pickleball (PCPB) Club players celebrated the start of the official Pickleball fall season with dancing and a buffet dinner on the Eagle’s Nest Patio.

Bob Chester, President of the PCPB Club, welcomed players and said, “Thanks to all for another huge crowd at our Fall Season Kickoff Party! We are looking forward to a very, very, very busy year as pickleball is experiencing explosive popularity in PebbleCreek and around the country. We have a great community and the club is a reflection of the word ‘active’ in the ‘active adult community’. We are blessed to have so many volunteers and great people in our 1,500+ membership that make all of the club events so successful. It is important to remember why we are all here – it is friends that we made playing pickleball in PebbleCreek and the fun we have playing the game.”

Robin Weaver, PCPB Club Board member, organized this popular annual and sell-out social event. PCPB Club Social Committee members included Sharon Hadley, Ellie Love, Wendy and Rick Langhals, Martha and Steve Urbin, and Karyn Davies.

As part of the PCPB Club’s community service and outreach efforts, PCPB players brought canned and boxed food that were donated to the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank. The mission of the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank, as a faith-based non-profit organization, is to provide services to families and individuals in the Southwest Valley who are hungry, in need, or facing crisis.
