Ken Ball

Bucky is our five-year-old (mostly) Jack Russell Terrier. He came to his forever home from The Pet Companions of PebbleCreek in 2015. His favorite activity is visiting the dog park daily. At 17 pounds, he thinks and acts like a big dog, so he has to be on the big dog side where he likes to steal balls from the big dogs (he won’t chase his own) and tease them. He can outrun most of them, which is in addition to his other talent of inciting small dogs on the other side of the fence to chase him up and down the fence up to ten times. Before going home, I have to pry the stolen ball out of his mouth and throw it back to the owners of Molly, Bear and his other friends.

At home, he will think up things to keep from getting bored. He doesn’t bark except when he wants to go outside or someone is at the door. I have to keep him on leash at all times outside as he once decided to race a coyote and almost became their meal! He also loves to go for rides and meet people.

I have to say Bucky is such a blessing to us as the best dog we ever had. I have to go now! He is barking to go to, where else, the dog park! Thanks, James Ellison, for all you do for Pet Companions.
