PebbleCreek Woodcarvers Club holds special display on feathers

Larry Matney

For the month of January, the PebbleCreek Woodcarvers Club had an additional display space in the Creative Arts building that contained woodcarvings with feathers. Most of the carvings were birds, but there was one mask and even a flying pig. It was a treat to see a large group of carvings on a common theme.

The Woodcarvers Club has an ongoing display in the case next to the Quail Room. This display is updated frequently so stop by to see members’ latest work. Feel free to go into the Quail Room and see what members are currently working on. They often look serious but are happy to stop and talk about their work. Most club members have not carved before coming to PebbleCreek so if you have any interest in woodcarving talk with a club member and they can get you in touch with someone to get you started carving.
