PebbleCreek Quilters take part in New Life sewing project

On Saturday, October 22 the PebbleCreek Quilters got together for Make-A-Difference-Day and made Zippy Strippy bags for the moms at New Life Center. We then filled the bags with toiletries such as shampoo, lotion, toothbrush and toothpaste, etc. Our goal is to make one for each woman at the shelter and by the end of the day we had made 30!

These beautiful bags will go into the Santa’s Workshop at NLC so that the children may choose their favorite as a Christmas gift for their mother. If you would like to make a bag on your own or have any hotel size toiletries to donate, please drop them off at the Diamondback Room on Tuesdays or Wednesdays.

Thank you to the ladies that came together on Saturday, to the ladies that couldn’t attend but made some on their own prior to Saturday, to Linda for bringing the delicious fudge and to Jackie for bringing a thank you gift for all that attended!

We will present the bags to NLC at their volunteer holiday party on Sunday, November 27.
