The PebbleCreek Quilters’ community service committee creates projects and programs to benefit local community organizations. The community service committee is chaired by Judy Frank and Patsy Wagner, with the support of many other members. Throughout the year, club members design and create quilts that are donated to designated charities, listed on www.pebblecreekquilters.org website. Hospice of the Valley was selected for a day of quilting. It is the hope that these quilts will provide warmth and comfort to the individuals and their families as they journey through the hospice process.

Hospice of the Valley is a not-for-profit, community-based program that serves the diverse needs of families in Maricopa and northern Pinal counties. Hospice of the Valley was the first hospice program in Phoenix and among the first in the nation.

If you are interested in learning more about community service in the PebbleCreek Quilters or other information about the organization, stop by the Diamondback Room in the Creative Arts Center. There is a schedule outside the door listing the times that quilters are in the room, as well as information on the counter inside the door. The mission of the organization is to provide fellowship among quilters and to initiate programs and workshops that are of interest to its members. The group members inspire and share knowledge and ideas with fellow quilters while creating and giving to local charities.
