On Saturday, April 19 The Pet Companions Club of PebbleCreek held its eighteenth annual Pooch Parade Fundraiser. Eighty two individuals, area organizations and businesses stepped forward to sponsor this event by donating raffle prizes and making cash donations. PebbleCreek residents also generously supported this event by their participation. As a result, $1,911 was raised to support Stable Influence Charity Programs and our own animal rescue efforts here in PebbleCreek. Chris Hudson, President and Founder of Stable Influence Charity Programs, was present to meet residents and discuss her organization.

The Pooch Parade was enjoyed by everyone with a great turnout of families and dogs. Easter baskets were also available for the children present. Thirteen dogs paraded in their best finery and first, second and third place prizes were awarded for Best Costume.

The winners were First Place Trophy and Gold Medal: Tommy, a Poodle/Terrier mix, owned by Colleen and Sam McMaster. Second Place Silver Medal: Miley and Roxy, Shih Tzus, owned by Vern and Tamara Hendrickson. Third Place Bronze Medal: JoJo, a Pug, owned by Ann Mason.

I would like to thank the following board members and volunteers who worked so hard to make our annual pooch parade a success: Committee Chairman Gina Bonnett, Marge Ellison, Mollie McErlean, Diane Fekete, Sandy Smith, Julie Schilling, Nebbi Braun, Linanne Gabiola, Carolyn Dolezal, Colleen McMaster, Jean Dean, Betty Minor, Janet Pelech, Fran Sargent, Sally Wilber and Fred and Lucretia Agosterola.

I would also like to thank the residents and their families who turned out for this charity event in support of Stable Influence Charity Programs and the animal rescue efforts in our community. Special thanks to Bob Young who did such a wonderful job as our emcee this year.
