Ladies and Men’s Niners Mixer

The Lady Niners hosted the annual mixer with the Men’s Niners on April 16, 2019. The theme of the event was “Kings and Queens,” and was planned by Suzanne Butler. Teams were made up of two women and two men. The afternoon included a nine-hole scramble, a putting contest and a spin-to-win game. After golf the participants gathered in the Chianti Room for appetizers, drinks and prizes.

Front nine winners were Betty Thompson, Randy McConaughey, James Stahl and Jessica Gorman. Back nine winners were Gerald Sota, Linda Reinke, Judy Myers and Mary Ventura.

Spring Par-Tee

The Lady Niners held their annual Spring Par-Tee Tournament on April 28 at Tuscany Falls. The theme for this year’s event was Kentucky Derby. Social Co-Chairpersons Betty Thompson and Pam Morrison along with their committee planned a fun afternoon of golf and an early dinner for the Niners and their guests. Many of the golfers wore Kentucky Derby hats and participated in a hat contest.

Front nine winners were Ed Morrison, Pam Morrison, Melissa D’Onofrio and Mike D’Onofrio. Back nine winners were Lance Dosch, Cathy Dosch, Sue Johnson and Scott Johnson. The Kentucky Derby hat winners were Cathy Dosch, Pat Jensen and Janis Korba.

Sun City Grand

Sun City Grand Lady Golfers invited PebbleCreek and Corte Bella to join them for a fun morning of golf at their Desert Springs Golf Course on April 30. “Kick Up Your Heels” was a roll-the-dice scramble where teams had to roll the dice after everyone’s drive to see which drive would be used. Golf was followed by a salad lunch and prizes.

Front nine winners were Emily Johnson, Alberta Hohn, Mary Jacobs and Barbara Caraco. Back nine winners were Maris Waltjer, Nancy Preston, Bonnie Schwartz and Kathy Tobin.
