Away Play

On October 11 the Lady Niners celebrated golf, good food and the sound of freedom at Luke Air Force Base. There was a nine-hole shotgun tournament at Falcon Dunes Golf Course followed by a turkey croissant lunch. The first place team was Bobbie Wagner, Janet Jeans, Carol Hahn and Carol Schumacher. The second place team was Dede Harrington, Vicki Wolfe, Jessica Gorman and Barb Hockert.

The second away play day was November 1 at Palm Valley’s Lakes Course. There was an 18-hole shotgun followed by an optional lunch.

Diamond in the Rough

The season began on November 15 with the opening event Diamond in the Rough Tournament. Co-chairs Dee Reynolds and Pam Grimwood planned a special day of golf and socializing. Lunch before and awards and dessert following golf were at Tuscany Falls Ballroom. Because of cart path restrictions on the Tuscany Falls Golf Courses, golf was played at Eagle’s Nest.

Sleigh Bells Ring

A holiday cocktail party for PCL9GA members and their special guests will be held at Eagle’s Nest Ballroom on Thursday, December 8 at 5:30 p.m. There will be food, drinks and music by harpist Nancy Davis. Members are looking forward to this festive holiday event.
