January Handgun Class

January Handgun Class

Henry Tom

On Friday, January 9, 2015, Matt Dyer, NRA certified Pistol Instructor and NRA Range Safety Officer, taught the Basic Handgun Class free for all members of the PebbleCreek Gun Club. All the students were quite pleased with the background and expertise of Matt and his easy to understand manner of instruction. Matt Dyer was a former Maine State Prosecutor and as an attorney in Maine and Arizona he was able to convey the meaning of the law with regard to firearms from an in-depth perspective.

Refuse to be a Victim Seminar

Matt Dyer will also be conducting this seminar here in PebbleCreek during March 2015. This is a National Rifle Association (NRA) program:

“Experts agree that the single most important step toward ensuring your personal safety is making the decision to refuse to be a victim. That means that you must have an overall personal safety strategy in place before you need it.

Through this seminar, you can learn the personal safety tips and techniques you need to avoid dangerous situations and avoid becoming a victim.”

This seminar is open to all residents of PebbleCreek and sponsored by the PebbleCreek Gun Club. Based upon the level of response, a date and appropriate size venue will be announced. Attendees should register via email with Henry Tom at [email protected]

PebbleCreek Gun Club Shooting Competitions

In January, the PebbleCreek Gun Club will be starting its club competitions in trap and skeet shooting, rifle and pistol shooting, as well as the ever increasing popular bowling pin shooting. The trophies will be awarded during the Spring BBQ of the PebbleCreek Gun Club on Saturday, April 11, 2015, held at the Sunrise Park in Eagle’s Nest.

Robson Trap Trials

On March 6, 2015, the PebbleCreek Gun Club will host the fifth annual Robson Trap Trials at the Casa Grande Trap and Skeet Club in Casa Grande, Arizona. This is an inter-community trap shooting competition among all the Robson Communities in Arizona. The PebbleCreek Gun Club has managed to win the Robson Trap Trials four consecutive years.
