PebbleCreek Dog Park  is officially open

Kathleen Molony

It’s finally really here! The beautiful new dog park at PebbleCreek officially opened Saturday, January 24, 2015. What a wonderful asset to our community. The park got a kick start with a Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting Celebration and vendor fair hosted by the PebbleCreek Dog Park Association. Our HOA President Mr. John Kiekbusch and Kathleen Molony, president of the PC Dog Park Association did the honors of cutting the ribbon. Many homeowners brought their dogs and all had a wonderful day visiting the park. We were delighted to have the PebbleCreek Pet Companion Club as well as many of our local pet businesses. Several veterinarians, an animal shelter, dog groomers, dog boarding and pet stores participated and got to know our residents and explain their services.

Kathleen Molony and the dog park association have worked diligently with the Robson Corporation and the PC HOA for over three years to make a dog park at PebbleCreek a reality. We want to thank them as well as the Robson Corporation for donating the land and designing and building the park. Thanks also to our HOA for managing and maintaining the park. The dog park is open from dawn to dusk for all residents and their guests. No smoking, alcohol, glass or human or pet food is allowed in the park. A complete list of the dog park rules are posted on the park fence and on the HOA website at www.pebblecreekhoa.org. To access the site, log in and go to Things to do Clubs-Service-Dog Park Association.

We ask all users of the dog park to help keep the park in the beautiful condition it is now. Please remember to pick up your dog’s presents. Bags and closed containers are provided for waste and other trash. As you are visiting with your neighbors help each other keep track of their dog’s activity. Let people know if their pooch has left a present so they can pick it up and dispose of it. As our HOA president said in his opening remarks, “We must keep the park in good condition for it to remain open.”

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding our new park, please contact the HOA or Kathleen Molony, president of the PC Dog Park Association. Kathleen and her group will pass on your kudos or concerns to the HOA.

Thanks again to all who made this dog park happen. Enjoy!
