Members of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club met right after Labor Day for their first-ever September meeting, and the turnout was huge, which is no surprise as the club now has more than 260 active members!

Our speaker was Lori Gary, director of Economic Development for the City of Goodyear, and she helpfully explained to the attentive crowd what all those development and construction projects are that we pass as we drive up and down PebbleCreek Parkway, the I-10, Loop 303, and seemingly everywhere else! We are one of the fastest growing communities in the country, which means more housing, more retail, more jobs, and more infrastructure to make living here an even richer experience.

We also heard from Bob Musselwhite, candidate for U.S. House of Representatives for Congressional District 8.

The club’s first social for the fall is the 2020 pre-election brunch scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Chianti Room of the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. For members seeking additional information about the brunch, visit the homepage of the club website at www.pcdemclub.org and click on the “Brunch” listing. Registration ends Oct. 10, and the cost is $19 per person. For non-members, please email Chuck Veltri, club vice president, at [email protected].

Other upcoming October events include the monthly men’s breakfast on Oct. 9 at 8:15 a.m. at the Eagle’s Nest dining room and the weekly Saturday breakfasts at 8 a.m. at the Eagles Nest alcove. The monthly women’s luncheons change locations and dates each month. The next club meeting is Oct. 2 at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. The social hour starts at 6 p.m. and the meeting at 7 p.m. The meetings are open to all, regardless of political party registration.

All events and information about joining the club are on the club website at www.pcdemclub.org. Come meet your neighbors and learn about our community. Each month brings new speakers, and the discussions are informative and lively.
