PebbleCreek Community Church starts operation Christmas Child Shoe Box Collection

Members of PebbleCreek Community Church are busy shopping for items to fill Operation Christmas Child Shoe Boxes once again. All shoe boxes will be brought to church on November 20 and dedicated prior to being taken to a Relay Center in Goodyear where they will start their journey to children around the world. Last year Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child ministry collected and distributed 11.2 million shoe boxes to children in 120 countries. Most of these children had never received a gift in their life. This year we pray to collect over 12 million shoe boxes. Items included in the boxes are toiletries, school supplies, small toys and a soft stuffed animal or perhaps some clothing items. Items are packed in a colorful Gospel Opportunity colorfully decorated shoe box or a plastic shoe box size container or a regular shoe box that is decorated. The children receiving the shoe boxes treasure these gifts for many years. The shoe box ministry is one of the missions of PebbleCreek Community Church which is done each year as do many other churches in our community. To learn more about this, come visit our church in November and pick up a shoe box to fill for some deserving child. Services are held in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. We are a non-denomination church and encourage visitors to come and join us in worship.
