PebbleCreek Community Church continues Bible studies for all

Mary McFarland

Again this year PebbleCreek Community Church will offer a wide range of Bible studies that are open to everyone. Study groups are led by committed leaders who facilitate the groups’ spiritual growth while helping members connect with each other. Leading women’s groups are Marsha Lyons, Sue Trampel, Patti Modderman, Joan Kizziar, Mary McFarland, Pam Frye, Virginia Sims and Judy Merwald. Bruce Sharp is in charge of a men’s study. Mixed groups are guided by Phylice Walton, Don Clark and Steve Kirk. Most leaders open their homes for the gatherings.

The diversity of people within our community provides opportunity for varied and lively discussion. The focus of discussions includes various books of the Bible, men and women in the Bible, the power of prayer or living out a Christian life. A number of resources are used including the Bible, study guides with questions and DVDs. Many authors such as David Jeremiah, Max Lucado, John MacArthur, John Stott and Beth Moore are enjoyed.

Most Bible studies will begin in late October or November. PebbleCreek Community Church will soon post a listing of Bible studies on our website at www.pebblecreekchurch.org. For questions you may email Mary McFarland, chair of our education committee, at [email protected].

Each Sunday at 9:00 a.m. we turn our Eagle’s Nest Ballroom into a Christian sanctuary – all are welcome to join in our one-hour services followed by social gathering. Prior to the church service, Phylice Walton leads her Bible study at 8:00 a.m. in the Palm Room.
