PebbleCreek Ballroom Dance Club on summer hiatus

John Harguindeguy

We’re now on summer hiatus after the terrific May dance honoring our military veterans. Have a safe summer wherever your destinations and trips might take you. For any who’ll stay in the area, Paul Westrich, our resident professional ballroom dance instructor, is available for couples or group classes. I can assure you from personal experience that he’s great at instructing and his pricing is very, very reasonable. If interested you can find his number in your directory. Other dance instruction options will begin in the fall when Ed Sampson begins free group Tuesday afternoon lessons in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom.

While the club is taking a break the officers of the club met recently to assure our final three dances of the year are special. We start off with Summers End on September 22 with DJ Jason Wong. On October 13 it’s Autumn Leaves with terrific music by Manual Dorantes on the keyboard. Manuel was a hit at our opening dance for the year in January.

The final event for our year will be the annual Mistletoe Ball dinner/dance on November 10 with music performed by crowd favorite Thaddeus Rose. The three ladies in charge have been working for some time to assure to make this one of the first and best events during the holiday season.

Enjoy the summer and, if opportunity is there, dance and enjoy!
