PebbleCreek Art Club announces 2019 Fall Art Show date

Charlene Romanos

The PebbleCreek Art Club’s annual Fall Art Show will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse in the Chianti Room, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The exhibit will present new exciting artwork created by club members and include all art mediums, photography and sculpture.

In addition to the main exhibit, the club’s annual shows have included a “Special Challenge” for the past four years that asks participants to create a piece of art with a specific theme. This year’s special exhibit features the artist’s individual interpretation of how “Opposites Attract.” Almost immediately, this conjures up images related to the attraction (sometimes fatal) of different personalities, but in art, it suggests so much more. In the “Contrast in Art and the Value of the Opposites” article featured in Widewalls, a magazine focused on modern and contemporary art, we read that “as one of the major art principles, contrast in art, is by many, considered to be the golden rule of creation. It is defined as the ‘juxtaposition of difference,’ which intensifies a work and strengthens the focus.”

Opposites can be illustrated in many ways and this artist challenge is charged with excitement for artists and should be interesting to see how they present their individual interpretations of “Opposites Attract.” You will not want to miss this exhilarating and compelling special exhibit.

The PebbleCreek Art Club’s annual Fall Show is an occasion to celebrate the accomplishments of artists and their work. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Chianti Room at the Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. Plan to attend this gallery type show, mingling with friends, old and new, while viewing the amazing works of art. There will be a cash bar with beverages and snacks available, provided by PC catering. Art will be available for purchase.

You will not want to miss this inspiring and exciting event, so mark your calendars and plan to spend an afternoon with many of the PC artists. We look forward to welcoming you.
