PebbleCreek’s two sanctioned golf organizations, the PCMGA 18 hole group and the PCM9GA 9 hole group conducted their first ever joint mixer tournament teeing off early Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. on June 11 utilizing both the front nine and back nine Eagle’s Nest Courses.

Thanks to the excellent efforts of the PCMGA executive board members, including Jerry Treece and Chuck Gustafson and also the coordination efforts from Ray Clements and the rest of the PCM9GA board members, a total of approximately 120 PCMGA and PCM9GA members, 20 five-somes, participated and simply had great fun utilizing the Step-Aside variation of the standard Scramble format in which each team member tees off with his own ball and from there on until the final putt shot, for successive shots the team member with the best drive, iron or putt stroke steps aside and the other team members use the same golf ball position for the next shot.

Hats off to the pairing efforts which contributed greatly towards keeping the competition on an even playing field since just a few strokes or fractions of strokes separated the winners from the also-rans. In addition, the net scores for each team were further adjusted based upon the prevailing AGA handicaps of each team member. The first, second, third and fourth place teams received cash prizes and kudos to the winners as follows (listed by place, team score, and winning team members):

Again much thanks to the PCMGA for coordinating this outstanding Mixer Event and also to our PCM9GA President Ray Clements and his board for organizing the second PCMGA/PCMGA Mixer Event conducted on July 23 which likewise was truly an awesome success.
