The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association’s annual meeting was scheduled to take place at the awards dinner for the Tournament of Champions on March 25. However, due to the pandemic situation, it was cancelled.

Part of the annual meeting is the presentation of annual awards such as The Most Birdies Award and The Most Improved Golfer Award.

The PCLGA Board did its best to make lemonade from lemons on March 30. They caravanned in their individual golf carts to the houses of the winners of the awards. At each home they kept their distance from the winners and from each other. The trophies were presented in their original box. Someone wearing gloves left the trophies near the door before they rang the doorbell and retreated to a safe distance. The members stood back from the house with signs congratulating the winners on their accomplishments and sang “For She’s a Jolly Good Golfer” to each winner.

The Most Birdies Award was presented to Sharon Hadley. She had 52 birdies during the competition period of April 1, 2019 to March 10, 2020. On 12 play days she had multiple birdies with an incredible eight birdies on her best day! Wow! Congratulations, Sharon.

The Most Improved Golfer Award went to Suzanne Kanaly. During the period of March 16, 2019 to March 15, 2020, Suzanne improved her handicap index from 13.0 to 9.4! Great work and congratulations!

Kudos to the board for arranging such a clever way to deliver the awards. And congratulations, once again, to Sharon and Suzanne on their amazing accomplishments!
