PCLGA welcomes new members

Bev Clinton

The PCLGA welcomed eight new members on January 17, 2018 at a wine and appetizer party at the home of Sharon Dawe. The new members in attendance were Lois Alix, Suzy Burwick, Jan DeHaven, Jackie Goupil, Jacquie Hawkins, Sue Kanaly, Joan Patchin and Renee Salko. With the addition of these new members, the PCLGA now has 242 members.

The PCLGA membership committee, comprised of Sue White (Chairperson), Ann Page, Maria Murray and Sharon Dawe (our hostess), help orient new members to the association and are also there to answer questions and help them (and others) find playing partners on Tuesday play. Just look for the ladies wearing their new pink and white scarves.

In addition to the new members, the PCLGA President, Marilyn Reynolds, most other board members, the membership committee and a few others were in attendance. Everyone introduced themselves, with new members saying how long they had been in PebbleCreek (which ranged from 3 weeks to 19 years!), where they came from and what they looked forward to by being part of the PCLGA. Current members told everyone how long they had been members, what they liked about the PCLGA and offered advice on how to get involved and make new golfing friends. Several new members made comments about how well run the association is and expressed their thanks for the warmness of the welcome.

It was great to meet the new members who will bring new ideas and skills into the PCLGA. Anyone else interested in joining a great group of women golfers may obtain forms in the Eagle’s Nest Pro Shop. We’d love to have you!
