Each year a team of PCLGA members commits to represent PebbleCreek as members of the PebbleCreek Roadrunners traveling team. The Roadrunner league is a highly competitive league with teams from eight different clubs across the great Phoenix area. Ellen Enright and Sarah Marsh are the co-chairs of the Roadrunners for the 2017 – 2018 season. The entire team this year will be Amber Rivera, Andrea Dilger, Barbara Patrow, Colleen Johnson, Ellen Enright, Kathy Hubert-Wyss, Kittie Day, Layne Sheridan, Marilyn Reynolds, Mary Harris, Renee deLassus, Sarah Marsh and Sheri Sears.
Play during the season rotates among the eight clubs, each team hosting a match. For each match, the eight team members from PebbleCreek with the currently lowest handicaps are chosen to make up four two-person teams and compete against the other teams in the league in a four ball, better known as a better ball event. This year’s schedule is as follows: 12/4/2017 Wildfire – Faldo; 12/11/2017 Tonto Verde; 1/15/2018 Superstition; 1/22/2018 Desert Mountain – Geronimo; 2/5/2018 Red Mountain Ranch; 2/19/2018 Anthem; 3/26/2018 Briarwood; 4/2/2018 PebbleCreek – Palms/Lakes
Throughout the eight event season a running tally of scores is kept by the league for both low gross and low net. After the final match here at PebbleCreek on April 2, 2018 there will be a reception to announce and award the winning team for 2017-2018.
