The Ladies Arizona Summer Survivor Invitational (LASSI) league’s final tournament of the season was held Wednesday, September 12 at Los Caballeros Golf Club in Wickenburg. PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) members have participated in all five 2018 LASSI league tournaments. This was no exception, with five two-person teams competing; Tess Braden/Carol Taylor; Chris Cook/Cheryl LaMotta; Donna Havener/Debbie Sayre; Sally Babbitt/Donnie Meyers and Geanie Aldridge/Judi Floyd.
Winners were Flight C: 4th Place, Tess Braden and Carol Taylor. Donna Havener won closest to the pin and Cheryl LaMotta won longest putt. Congratulations, ladies! Players reported that the course, located at the foot of the Bradshaw Mountains in the upper Sonoran Desert, was very hard but beautiful. Lunch was yummy, and everyone had a wonderful day and enjoyed the fun and friendship!
Watch for the 2019 schedule on the PCLGA website and plan to participate next year; it’s a great way to take advantage of the lower green fees that hot weather brings, meet other lady golfers from around the valley and lunch is always included at the hosting club!
