On November 14, 2017, 165 PCLGA members kicked off the year with a major tournament themed Lett-uce Ketch-up. The chairs were Sharon Dawe, Carol Langhardt and Chris Duprey. All agreed it was a great tournament with the creative theme interwoven into the game and the luncheon where we were entertained by Pam Volm as Mustard and Donna Havener as Ketchup.
The format was a four-person team in which we played from the white tees (mayonnaise) on the corners and took one best ball, played from the red tees (ketchup) on half of the par fours and took two best balls, and then played from the yellow tees (mustard) on the other half of the par fours and took three best balls. Playing a variety of tees made the day a little different from our usual events and was a lot of fun.
The tournament had six flights and the top three place winners in each flight were:

In addition to the flight winners, Kathy Hubert-Wyss had a very exciting eagle on hole No. 1 of The Lakes. Playing from the white tees (since it was a corner) it was a 470 yard hole. Kathy used a 6 iron from 130 yards out to hole the ball and although this was her 13th eagle, she said this one was particularly exciting because it was on Lakes No. 1 (enough said) and the whole foursome got to watch it go in.
