The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association 2018-19 annual meeting was held during the Tournament of Champions dinner, March 27, 2019. An important part of this meeting is the opportunity for the PCLGA to present special awards and achievements, plus install the newly elected officers for 2019-2020,

This year’s “Most Improved Golfer” award was presented by the Handicap Chair, Barbara Chilton, to Susan Harris, who lowered her handicap by six strokes; great shooting, Susan! Sharon Johnson, the Birdies and Achievements Chair, presented Andrea Dilger with the “Most Birdies” award – a total of 43 for the year!

The PCLGA’s State Medallion award winners were announced by Carolyn Suttles, PCLGA’s representative to the Arizona Golf Association (AGA). These two players shot the two best gross and net rounds during four days selected by the PCLGA as Medallion qualifying rounds. Winners are Andrea Dilger, for gross, Lea Morse, for net. They will be invited to play in the AGA State Medallion Tournament in January 2020.

Judy Layton and Vicki Norrie announced the “Winter Ringer” winners (details can be found on the PCLGA website).

Marilyn Reynolds, President, thanked all the members and in particular the board, committee chairs and representatives for making 2018-2019 such a successful year. She received a well-deserved, standing ovation in appreciation of her leadership and contributions! Thank you, Marilyn!

To conclude the annual meeting, Chanca Morrell, Vice President, presided over the installment of the new 2019-2020 PCLGA officers. She led the ceremony with a very creative and fun iteration of Don’t Worry, Be Happy! New officers are Judy Layton, President; Judy Hauser, Vice President; Linda Sweet, Treasurer and Deb Smedley, Secretary.

The board term is from June 1, 2019, to May 31, 2020. Following PCLGA Bylaws, the incoming President Judy Layton will complete the Executive Board by appointing the following positions: Parliamentarian, Tournament Director, Tuesday Play and Handicap Chairs.

The PCLGA welcomes the new board and looks forward to another great year of golf with friends!
