PebbleCreek’s Bocce Ball delegation made an excellent showing in the 2017 Arizona Senior Olympics, bringing home one Gold and two Silver medals. A total of 111 senior citizen Bocce players from several Phoenix area adult communities competed in four categories – Men, Women, Co-Ed and Singles – during the annual event held recently at the Bocce Complex in Sun City.

The PebbleCreek Women’s Team, “Bocce Ladies,” consisting of Jan Ruedlin, Muriel Milewski, Carol Gwilt and Faye Ralph took first place to capture the Gold while another PebbleCreek Women’s Team, “LaDolce Vita,” consisting of Joan Kwiatkowski, Kathy Weldon, Cheryl Kasselmann and Marie Rausa came in second to take home the Silver Medal. Sun City’s “Lucky Ladies” won the Bronze medal.

With one Gold medal already under their belts, PebbleCreek ladies Carol Gwilt and Muriel Milewski teamed up with Roger Milewski and Larry Blackburn to form the “Golden Oldies” PebbleCreek Co-Ed Team and after a tough competition against the Sun City “Odd Couples” were proudly awarded second place and a coveted Silver Medal. Taking home the Bronze were the “Misfits” from Sun City.

Congratulations to all PebbleCreek’s Senior Olympics competitors.
