PC Quilters draw winner of Opportunity Quilt

Over 90 members of the PebbleCreek Quilters attended the 2018 Holiday Luncheon in the Tuscany Ballroom December 10. At that time, the winner of the raffle for the PC Opportunity Quilt was drawn. Marcia Zigmut of PebbleCreek was selected. Marcia shared that her mother was a quilter, so the quilt has special meaning for her. The quilt was pieced by Jean Fry, new president of the organization and quilted by Cindy Santoro. Raffle tickets were sold throughout the 2018 year. The money made by the raffle is used for supplies for charity quilts/projects and upkeep of equipment in the Fiber Arts Room in the Creative Arts Center. The 2019 Opportunity Quilt will be unveiled in February. It was pieced by Sue Godwin, a founding member of the PC Quilters that passed November 2017 and will be quilted by Barb Mauer. Tickets will be available in the Creative Arts Gallery, from a PC Quilter or at PC events that have the quilt on display. Thank you to all the PC residents that bought tickets and made the raffle so successful. You are contributing to future quilts and projects that are given to designated charitable organizations in the West Valley.
