It was really hot in Phoenix, so on August 18 five PC hikers sought the cooler environment of Prescott and enjoyed a very scenic loop hike through the Granite Dells and around Watson Lake. The Granite Dells have impressive rock formations right out of the old western movies and many hiking trails with nice views of the lake. More water than usual was flowing from the dam and the resulting mist was quite refreshing. The hiking club meets in the Tuscany Ballroom on the third Thursday of the month and hikes five days a week with a hike for almost every level of fitness.
