Non-objective Abstract Painting class

Jeff Wilson

Participants in the recent Art Club sponsored class, Non-objective Abstract Painting, are pictured above. Non-objective abstract meaning there is no reference to the real world in the artwork.

This four session class focused each time on a different style of abstract painting. Every class was accompanied by a lesson plan handout and books and pictures of examples by the leading practitioners of that style of painting.

No previous artistic experience or drawing skills were required. A willingness to experiment and have fun in an encouraging and supportive environment was all that was necessary.

The class was taught by Jeff Wilson who had a long career in education and has had gallery shows of his artwork in Seattle, Bellevue and Kirkland, Washington.
