News from the PebbleCreek Shalom Club

Laurie Rosenbloom

Welcome back all of our Shalom Club members! We hope everyone had an enjoyable summer. We can’t wait to see everyone at our first meeting of the season on Sunday, September 17 at the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. Snacks and drinks will be served at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. We have so much to share!

Information for the High Holy Days can be found on the following link: www.pcjewsnews.org

Please join us for our traditional Break-The-Fast meal on Saturday, September 30 at 6:45 p.m. following Yom Kippur services.

Our Event Committee has been meeting throughout the summer and planning an exciting evening. The event, West Valley Story—A 1950’s Murder Mystery, will take place on Sunday, November 12.

Beginning with a cocktail hour at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 6:30 p.m. followed by games, music and dancing. Actors are circulating throughout the night to provide clues and information to guess the murder mystery!

We are excited to resume many of our Shalom Club activities. Steve Shaffer will reconvene with his infamous movie discussion groups. They will meet on Friday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Milan Room at Tuscany Falls. The discussion will focus on all the various movies the group saw throughout the summer months. In addition, Judy Ruck will lead her book group beginning Friday, October 13 at 10:00 a.m. They will discuss the historical fiction book The Midwife of Venice by Roberta Rich.
