Happy and healthy New Year! Our year ended with our traditional Chanukah Party. There was plenty of food, which included brisket, turkey, latkes, and more. Music was provided by Hankster’s Entertainment.

Voting for the new board officers will take place at our next general meeting on Jan. 20. Bagels and lox will be served at the meeting. Please attend, as your vote is important.

Nominees include:

Treasurer: Marilyn Rebhun and Jerry Hausner

Secretary: Stacey Carp

Membership: Shelley Coate and Willa Kravitz

Jewish Events: Judy Friedman

Publicity: Ronnie Levine.

Lori M. Gary, CEcD, director of Economic Development for the city of Goodyear, will be our guest speaker on Wednesday, Jan. 22, at 7 p.m. in the Eagle’s Nest Ballroom. She will provide an informative presentation (about 30 minutes) followed by a question and answer session. This will be open to all PebbleCreek residents.

The January Book Discussion will meet at Nadine Eder’s home to discuss the book Before We Were Yours, by Lisa Wingate. February’s meeting is already planned for the 18th of the month at Lil Wattenberg’s house. The novel that will be discussed is titled The Things We Cannot Say, by Kelly Rimmer. Any questions contact Judy Ruck.

Previously, our big Shalom Club event was held in February. This year our big “gala” will be held around May. So, stay tuned for future exciting news!
