It’s a new year and it’s time to get into gear! Look forward to some new classes coming up. We are introducing Pilates Fusion. It’s a mat and barre class that fuses pilates with dance. The class will yield you increased flexibility, improved posture and increased body circulation. Come and meet our newest instructor Julie who brings 25 years of dance experience to the class. Class will be on Tuesday and Thursday at noon.

Also, you have been asking for it and now we deliver! Chair Yoga arrives on Monday and Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. Do you have trouble getting on the floor to exercise or stretch? Patti will be teaching yoga using a chair. You will be performing a series of seated and gentle yoga poses. Finish the class with breathing to promote mental clarity and relaxation.

Yin Yoga will also join our schedule on Tuesday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. This is a restorative, meditative and mindful yoga practice taught by another new instructor, Christine. Yin Yoga will move the body into postures which pressurize specific tissues which coaxes energy and blood flow into these sites making them stronger and better lubricated.

Also back, if there is demand, is the Eagle’s Nest Circuit Blast class with Jean. Class includes both cardio and strength. Jean will be using machines, free weights, tubing, stability balls and bands. This class will be held on Monday and Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. Interested participants need to prepay for this class. A minimum of 10 people need to commit before the class runs; Eight classes for $24 for the month of January.

Make 2015 your year of fitness! Hope to see you at the fitness centers.
