More golf coming soon to PebbleCreek

PebbleCreek, a Robson Resort Community, and its Tuscany Falls Country Club is about to get even better, with an additional nine holes of golf to be added to its already impressive lineup.

Designed by noted golf course architect Dick Bailey, Tuscany Falls golf course currently has 27-holes of play with dramatic mounding, rolling fairways and strategically placed bunkers. That will increase to 36 challenging holes when the new nine are completed in early fall.

“We have more than 1,180 members, so golf is growing at PebbleCreek,” said Jason Whitehill, PebbleCreek’s Director of Golf. “We have an entry-level PebbleCreek Putters Club with more than 400 members and the four other golf associations (PCLGA, PCL9GA, PCMGA, PCM9GA) are also growing rapidly. What really drives this is the strong strategic player development program the staff has implemented over the last three years and an increase in home sales.”

“One of the unique characteristics of the new nine holes, designed by golf legend Tom Schroeder,” will be the third hole, which is a par three with a three-acre lake, said Whitehill. “It’ll be the biggest lake on the property at PebbleCreek and will run all along the third hole. With breathtaking views of the White Tank Mountains, this will be our signature hole.”

Nice large greens will provide golfers many fun and unique challenges. The eighth hole will be a “very nice par five with a lake and provide golfers with a lot of risk and reward when playing,” said Whitehill.

Renovation of the back practice range and tees will also be part of the expansion. Sand traps will be renovated, and a new liner will also be added to the sand traps creating better drainage and less contamination of the native soils within the sand traps, he said. “We are also upgrading the sand traps on the current Lakes nine with this sand trap liner.”

The current back nine holes (the Lakes Course) will close May 1 and the expansion is anticipated to be completed in the fall of 2018.

When the new nine holes are completed, the courses at Tuscany Falls will be renamed. The existing nine-hole Falls Course and the existing nine-hole Palms Course will become the East Course (18 holes). The existing nine-hole Lakes Course and the new nine will become the West Course, also 18 holes.

Currently, PebbleCreek has more than 4,700 homes and is growing. In 2018 the sales team expects to add about 170 more homes to the mix and anticipates 2019 to be just as strong.

PebbleCreek is also home to the Eagle’s Nest Country Club, which features an 18-hole championship course with seven lakes and spectacular views of the nearby White Tank Mountains.

“We’re ready for the new nine holes,” said Whitehill. “It’s a great layout and I’m super excited for it to open.”
